UPFA candidates warned over intra-party rivalries

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has warned candidates of the UPFA who engage in intra- party election rivalries of dire consequences including legal action and deprivation of any posts in the government after the polls, Minister Maithripala Sirisena announced today.

He said that the Party has already begun inquires against a few persons who are engaged in actions such as attacking each other’s party offices and supporters, Minister Sirisena who is also the General Secretary of the party said. 

 

“UPFA candidates have been informed that if they engage in such actions, disciplinary action would be taken against them,” Mr.Sirisena said.
