Indians who enter the country on tourist visas take back the harvest from Northern lands – Wimal Weerawansa

Housing, Construction, Engineering Services and Common Amenities Minister and NFF Leader, Wimal Weerawansa told the media on the 9th that Indians who arrive in Sri Lanka on tourist visas cultivate lands in the North and later return to India with the harvest.

 

 

 

 

Wimal Weerawansa said that if Sri Lanka signed the CEPA due to Indian pressure, it would create and adverse impact on the country.

 

He said that Indians would arrive in Sri Lanka for employment, further compounding the unemployment problem in the country.
