Petition sent to ILO against the President

The Trade Union Confederation (TUC) has sent a petition to the International Labor Organization (ILO) against President Mahinda Rajapaksa on the violation of ILO standing orders when selecting representatives to participate in the ILO convention when he was the head of the Sri Lanka Nidahas Sevaka Sangamaya.

 

TUC Secretary Saman Ratnapriya said that the President had not acted in a transparent manner.
